1 quick question for you...
This'll take less than a minute.
I wrote a post a few weeks ago that got a lot of attention (here’s the post).
The TLDR is this: If you’re doing fractional or consulting work with clients, you should lead every engagement with a paid assessment.
Why?
You can productize it into a scalable service that gives you 10x the leverage on your time.
It allows you to ‘pop the hood’ on a business before you jump in for the long haul to make sure you can (and want to) solve the problem.
Confirming you can (and want to) solve the problem ensures you are creating case studies and testimonials to use in marketing over time.
It gives you a “product” to sell with a standard pricing mechanism, so you don’t have to talk about rates until after you’ve run your assessment.
It enables you to “prove” you know what you’re talking about first, which allows you to charge significantly more for your services. (This is particularly impactful for long-term engagements, because 25-50% higher rates over a long period of time is a massive increase in lifetime value of a client.)
And, maybe most importantly, puts you in the driver seat of your projects because you’re telling them what needs to be done and not the other way around.
So my question is: If I created a program to teach fractional executives and consultants how to build an assessment-like product you could sell for 5-figures and do all the above, including charge higher rates after the assessment, how interested would you be in buying it?
This isn’t a pitch—I haven’t created this program. And I really don’t plan to unless there’s legitimate interest. But I will if there is.
If you’re a fractional executive or consultant, mind letting me know below?
My interest level in a program to help me productize an introductory service I could sell for 5-figures and increase my rates is: |
As always, appreciate your input and time!
Adios,
